About The Position

The Breakfast Attendant is responsible for setting up and breaking down the morning breakfast buffet, ensuring all items are well-stocked and the buffet area is maintained for safety and appearance. This role involves preparing food items, stocking machines, setting up serving areas, cleaning tables, and responding to guest requests.

Requirements

  • Ability to take inventory of food, beverages, and supplies.
  • Ability to prepare food items like fresh fruit, coffee, and juices.
  • Ability to stock beverage machines and dispensers.
  • Ability to set up serving dishes, utensils, cups, and paper products.
  • Ability to arrange cold food items.
  • Ability to clear and clean tables.
  • Ability to remove trash.
  • Ability to prepare and set up hot food items.
  • Ability to follow menu requirements.
  • Ability to wipe up spills.
  • Ability to restock items.
  • Ability to wash serving equipment and return it to storage.
  • Ability to return reusable food supplies to storage.
  • Ability to keep the breakfast area clean, including counters, cabinets, and floors.
  • Ability to listen and respond to guest requests and complaints.

Responsibilities

  • Setting up and breaking down the morning breakfast buffet.
  • Ensuring buffet items like fruits, breads, cereals, and bakery items remain well-stocked.
  • Maintaining the safety and appearance of the buffet area.
  • Cleaning the area in preparation for the next day.
  • Providing personalized service to all guests.
  • Setting up and maintaining the breakfast bar as required by brand standards.
  • Taking inventory of food, beverages, and supplies needed for each day.
  • Ordering or purchasing food supplies, if required.
  • Preparing foods such as fresh fruit, coffee, and juices from concentrates.
  • Stocking coffee, juice, and milk machines or dispensers.
  • Setting up serving dishes/trays, utensils, cups, and other paper products.
  • Setting out/arranging cold food, such as pastries, cereals, etc.
  • Clearing and cleaning tables as they are vacated.
  • Removing trash to the dumpster.
  • Preparing and setting up hot food items.
  • Following menu requirements as provided by the brand.
  • Wiping up spills.
  • Restocking items consistently throughout the breakfast hours and for the next day.
  • Washing serving equipment and returning to storage.
  • Returning reusable food supplies to storage.
  • Keeping breakfast area clean including removing trash, cleaning breakfast area and kitchen counters, cabinets and floors.
  • Listening and responding to guests' requests and complaints.
