About The Position

The Breakfast Attendant will attend to the complimentary breakfast hosted daily for our guests as well as cook shifts. Additional responsibilities include maintaining stock and cleanliness of workstations, cleaning and helping with dishes, transporting dirty tableware to the dishwashing area, performing general cleaning tasks to adhere to health standards, and providing for a safe work environment by following all safety and security procedures and rules. Team members are expected to maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance and perform any related duties as requested by management. This includes cleaning and drying floors to avoid slip/fall accidents, adhering to all company policies and procedures, following safety and security procedures, knowing department fire prevention and emergency procedures, utilizing protective equipment, and reporting unsafe conditions, accidents, injuries, near-misses, property damage, or loss to management. The role also involves assisting other kitchen personnel when needed.

Requirements

  • Ability to operate beverage equipment, e.g., coffee maker.
  • Ability to comprehend and apply written product labeling instructions to enable the safe application of products and processes within the hotel.
  • Ability to stand, walk and/or sit and continuously perform essential job functions for duration of shift.
  • Ability to lift and move multiple tables and chairs and podiums weighing up to 20 lbs.
  • Ability to grasp, lift, carry, push, and pull goods on hand cart weighing up to 100 lbs.
  • Frequent twisting, bending, stooping, reaching, standing, walking, talking, hearing, seeing, and smiling.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain stock and cleanliness of workstation, including storage rooms and kitchen.
  • Cleaning and help with dishes.
  • Transport all dirty tableware to dish washing area for proper cleaning. Promptly and carefully sort soiled ware so that it can be put through the dish or pot machine properly.
  • Perform general/routine cleaning tasking using standard hotel cleaning products as assigned by Supervisor to adhere to health standards.
  • Provides for a safe work environment by following all safety and security procedures and rules.
  • Perform any related duties as requested by management.
  • Clean and dry floors to avoid slip/fall accidents.
  • Adheres to all company policies and procedures.
  • Follows safety and security procedures and rules.
  • Knows department fire prevention and emergency procedures.
  • Utilizes protective equipment.
  • Reports unsafe conditions to management.
