About The Position

The Breakfast Attendant is responsible for clearing tables in accordance with Glacier Peaks Hotel standards and procedures. This role involves the preparation of breakfast foods, the ability to lift and carry large trays continuously, and the capacity to exert significant physical activity while standing for extended periods. Duties include setting up, replenishing, and cleaning food and beverage stations, ensuring the highest quality of service to guests in an attentive, courteous, and efficient manner.

Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry large trays on a continuous basis throughout the shift
  • Ability to exert a large amount of physical activity
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, service-oriented manner
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include wearing the proper uniform and nametag when working
  • Comply at all times with Glacier Peaks Hotel Hospitality Service standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations
  • Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times
  • Be attentive, friendly, helpful and courteous to all guests, managers and fellow employees
  • Be familiar with the organization of the Restaurant(s), lounges, and Room Service and know the function of each job position
  • Have a thorough knowledge of menus and current specials in applicable outlets
  • Service guests with all food and beverage requirements in an attentive, courteous, and efficient manner
  • Be familiar with fire extinguishers, locations and know how to use them

Responsibilities

  • Preparation of breakfast foods
  • Clearing tables in accordance with Glacier Peaks Hotel standards and procedures
  • Setting up, replenishing, and cleaning food and beverage stations
  • Providing the highest quality of service to guests in an attentive, courteous, and efficient manner
  • Performing opening and closing procedures and side-work duties
  • Ensuring that all tables and side stands are kept stocked, tidy, and clean
  • Keeping all beverages at least ¾ full (coffee, tea, soda, water, and lemonade)
  • Breaking down trays of soiled dishes and linen in the dish-room according to established standards
  • Answering the telephone according to standards
  • Setting up and breaking down the buffet
  • Replenishing buffet items as needed
  • Attending meetings/training as required by management
  • Performing other duties as requested by management
