About The Position

The Breakfast Attendant is responsible for maintaining the breakfast area's cleanliness and ensuring the quality and quantity of breakfast products. This role also involves providing personalized guest service daily. The attendant must be present during breakfast hours, engage with guests, answer questions about the hotel and local attractions, and report any issues to management. Additionally, the attendant must understand food handling procedures, local health codes, and assist with forecasting food needs, ordering supplies, and managing inventory.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
  • Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) of the guests who visit the workplace.
  • Understands food handling procedures.
  • Able to perform cleaning duties.
  • Know local and state health codes pertaining to food handling and sanitation.
  • Be able to forecast food and beverage needs.
  • Minimize waste in the preparation of food items and handling food.
  • Be able to order breakfast items and supplies as needed.
  • Assist with receiving and storage of food items and supplies.
  • Rotate food items and supplies.
  • Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, hearing, visual activity.
  • May on occasion have to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.

  • Work with management to set up an efficient and colorful breakfast area.

  • Assist with receiving and storage of food items and supplies.
  • Inform management of any substandard products, broken equipment, or problems.
  • Rotate food items and supplies.
  • Assist wherever needed.
