About The Position
The Breakfast Attendant is primarily responsible for setting up, maintaining, and breaking down the breakfast buffet and for maintaining the breakfast dining area. This role involves ensuring buffet items are well-stocked, maintaining the safety and appearance of the buffet area, and providing a welcoming and hospitable atmosphere to guests. Additional duties may include paperwork, record-keeping, vacuuming, kitchen tasks, or other custodial duties as assigned by management. This position offers typical hours from 5 AM to 11 AM, making it ideal for students, parents, or anyone seeking to have afternoons and evenings free. The hotel is a 113-room Hilton Family Brand Hotel, opened in October 2016, and is recognized as being in the Top 1% of all Hamptons in the US and #2 on TripAdvisor in Boone.
Requirements
- Must be 16 years or older
- Willingness to work around class and exam schedules for students

Responsibilities
- Setting up and breaking down each morning's breakfast buffet
- Ensuring buffet items such as fruits, breads, cereals, and bakery items remain well-stocked
- Maintaining the safety and appearance of the buffet area and cleaning the area in preparation for the next day
- Replenishing silverware, sugar caddies, and condiments
- Light to moderate food preparation
- Refilling beverage containers
- Mopping, wiping, and sweeping
- Providing a welcoming and hospitable atmosphere to guests
- Handling guest complaints efficiently and courteously
- Performing other duties as assigned by management
- Paperwork and record-keeping
- Vacuuming, kitchen, or other custodial tasks
