About The Position

This role is responsible for providing personalized service to all guests, ensuring the breakfast buffet is set up and maintained according to brand standards. The attendant will prepare various food items, stock beverages, arrange serving dishes and products, and maintain a clean and hospitable breakfast area throughout operating hours. Additionally, the role involves managing inventory, assisting with ordering supplies, and ensuring guest satisfaction by following service procedures and addressing any complaints.

Requirements

  • Ability to provide personalized service to all guests.
  • Knowledge of brand standards for breakfast buffet setup and maintenance.
  • Ability to prepare various food items including fresh fruit, breads, pastries, batters, and coffee.
  • Skill in stocking beverages such as coffee, juice, and milk.
  • Proficiency in setting up serving dishes, trays, utensils, cups, and paper products.
  • Capability to arrange cold food items like pastries and cereals.
  • Experience in preparing and setting up hot food items.
  • Ability to restock items consistently.
  • Commitment to maintaining a clean breakfast area.
  • Skill in sanitizing tables and chairs.
  • Ability to clean buffet counters and empty trash.
  • Experience in washing serving equipment and returning it to storage.
  • Knowledge of proper food storage procedures.
  • Ability to follow a cleaning frequency chart and perform daily cleaning tasks.
  • Excellent hosting skills, including greeting guests and offering assistance.
  • Adherence to established service procedures.
  • Ability to manage inventory levels of food, beverages, and supplies.
  • Willingness to assist with ordering or purchasing food supplies.

Responsibilities

  • Setting up and maintaining the breakfast buffet as required by brand standards.
  • Following menu requirements as provided by the brand.
  • Preparing foods such as fresh fruit, breads, pastries, batters and coffee.
  • Stocking coffee, juice and milk.
  • Setting up serving dishes/trays, utensils, cups and other paper products.
  • Setting out/arranging cold food, such as pastries, cereals, etc.
  • Preparing and setting up hot food items.
  • Restocking items consistently throughout the breakfast hours and for the next day.
  • Maintaining the breakfast area in a clean condition during the hours of operation.
  • Sanitizing tables and chairs as they are vacated.
  • Cleaning buffet counter and emptying trash as needed.
  • Washing serving equipment and returning to storage.
  • Returning reusable food supplies to storage.
  • Checking the cleaning frequency chart and doing the required cleaning each day.
  • Functioning as a pleasant, hospitable host by greeting guests and offering assistance.
  • Ensuring established service procedures are followed at all times.
  • Thanking the guest and asking them to come back again.
  • Advising the Front Office or General Manager of any complaints so that they can be rectified immediately.
  • Checking inventory levels of all food, beverages and supply items on the buffet and replenishing them as needed for each day.
  • Assisting Front Office or General Manager with ordering or purchasing food supplies.
