About The Position
Hotel Equities is searching for a remarkable Breakfast Attendant for the Hilton Harrisburg in Harrisburg, PA. The position's primary responsibility is to set up, maintain, and organize the buffet before, during, and after service times. This includes ensuring all food looks fresh and full, maintaining cleanliness of all areas, and proper stocking of utensils and china, while adhering to all safety and sanitation procedures. Due to the nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel. Additional duties may include general cleaning tasks, performing assigned side work, replenishing buffet supplements, answering telephones, taking room service orders, handling special guest requests, greeting and seating guests, assisting servers, and assisting other departments as directed. Requirements
- Must have basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation, service standards, and guest relations and etiquette
- Ability to remember, recite, and promote the variety of sideboard items
- Ability to transport large trays weighting up to 40lbs through a crowded room on a continuous basis
- Ability to read, speak and understand the English language in order to communicate with guests and take orders
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Restaurant experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Maintains the entire buffet by keeping all food looking fresh and full
- Maintain cleanliness of all areas at all times
- Maintain proper stocking levels of all utensils and china
- Follow all safety and sanitation procedures
- Perform any general cleaning tasks using standard hotel cleaning products as assigned by supervisor to adhere to health standards
- Perform all assigned side work to include replenishing of all supplements of the buffet
- Perform other duties as requested such as answering telephones and taking room service orders, handle special guest requests, and greet and seat guests
- Assist servers when needed
- Assist other departments as directed
