About The Position

The Breading Operator is responsible for operating breading machines, ensuring the correct type and amount of breading is used for each product according to customer specifications. This role involves monitoring the breading process, maintaining high standards of personal hygiene and cleanliness, and physically inspecting products for defects. The operator must also identify and report any suspicious or abnormal situations to their supervisor. This position requires working in a cold environment (38 degrees Fahrenheit) and involves standing/walking 100% of the workday with constant lifting of up to 50 pounds.

Requirements

• Ability to lift and dump bags of flour/breading (up to 50 pounds each).
• Ability to stand/walk 100% of the workday.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a constant basis.
• Knowledge of proper breading flour for each product.
• Knowledge of proper procedure for dumping bags of flour/breading.
• Understanding of GMP policies.
• Ability to identify product defects.
• Ability to identify and report suspicious or abnormal situations.

Responsibilities

• Operate breader/breading machines.
• Use the proper breading flour for each product as per customer specifications.
• Follow the proper procedure for dumping bags of flour/breading.
• Lift and dump bags of flour/breading (up to 50 pounds each).
• Monitor the breading process to ensure product is properly coated.
• Maintain the highest possible level of personal hygiene and cleanliness in accordance with plant GMP policies.
• Physically inspect products for natural occurring and processing defects (e.g., bruises, blood spots, foreign material, out of spec product).
• Identify and report any suspicious or abnormal situations to their immediate supervisor or plant management official (e.g., product tampering, willful product adulteration, unauthorized employees in restricted areas, potential product adulteration, equipment malfunction).
