Requirements

Post-secondary education or related experience.
Willingness to braze copper joints with an open flame torch.
Attention to detail.
Mechanical skills and be mechanically inclined.
Written/verbal communication skills in English.
Ability to multitask and adapt to a highly dynamic environment.
Good reasoning skills and sound judgement.
Must be able to lift packages up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Assemble and join metal components using a torch and filler materials in a controlled process that ensures strong, leak-proof, and durable joints.
Clean and prepare metal surfaces to ensure proper bonding.
Align and secure parts using clamps, fixtures, or jigs.
Apply flux and filler metal to joint areas.
Use torches, induction heaters, or furnaces to heat metal parts to brazing temperature.
Monitor temperature and timing to ensure proper bonding.
Inspect finished joints for strength, leaks, and conformity to specifications.
Perform pressure tests or visual inspections as required.
Identify and correct defects or inconsistencies.
Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders.
Follow detailed instructions to meet product specifications.
