The Brazer is responsible for performing all tasks involved in the brazing of standard and non-standard assemblies, such as headers, u-bends, fittings, distributers, etc. This role requires the ability to read job specifications to determine proper torch tips, flux, brazing alloys, and other material requirements. The Brazer will follow routers (work instructions) and complete tasks as directed by manufacturing schedules with minimal supervision. A key responsibility is obtaining First Piece Validation from the designated validator on the shift and performing inspections up to 100% as required. The Brazer will also troubleshoot and determine corrective action for parts and methods when necessary, and report defective materials or questionable conditions to the shift supervisor, engineering, or quality control. Additionally, the role involves practicing safe work habits, maintaining a clean work station and adhering to the 5S housekeeping system.
