About The Position

The Brazer II – Coils role focuses on repair and maintenance welding, including repairing and maintaining equipment, structures, and fixtures by applying heat to bond or fuse metal surfaces or parts. The work involves using hand welding and flame-cutting equipment to assemble metal components, as well as maintaining and repairing manufacturing production equipment, structures, pipe systems, and ductwork. The role also inspects existing weldments for weaknesses and may use welding equipment to cut or trim metal or fabricate simple fixtures.

This Support 2 position requires basic knowledge of job procedures and tools, generally gained through work experience, and may require vocational or technical education. Work is performed under moderate supervision. Problems are generally routine, though some may require interpreting or deviating from standard procedures. The position involves communicating information that may require explanation or interpretation.
