The company is backed by leading investors and advisors, including Lukasz Kaiser, co-author of the Transformer (“the T” in ChatGPT) and a key researcher behind OpenAI’s reasoning models. Pathway is headquartered in Palo Alto, California. We are seeking highly driven Brand Marketing & PR interns with an outstanding track record in communications, storytelling, branding, media or community-building. In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute directly to the public narrative around some of the most exciting ideas in AI today. We are looking for candidates who combine intellectual rigor with strong execution. You should be able to understand complex ideas quickly, write clearly and operate with maturity in a fast-moving environment. It's always a pleasure to say hi! Requirements

  • You have prior internship or work experience in marketing, PR, journalism, brand strategy, communications or media.
  • You have built a strong portfolio of writing, campaigns, media placements, events, newsletters, social content or community initiatives.
  • You have held a leadership role in a student newspaper, magazine, communications team or another high-performance student organization.
  • You can provide a strong recommendation from a faculty member, editor, manager or other mentor relevant to the internship topic who knows your work well.
  • Have strong writing, editing and verbal communication skills.
  • Can understand complex ideas quickly and translate them into clear, compelling messaging.
  • Are highly organized and able to manage multiple projects at once.
  • Can move comfortably between strategic thinking and hands-on execution.
  • Are excited by AI and interested in shaping the narrative around frontier research and products.
  • Are respectful of others.
  • Are fluent in English.

Nice To Haves

  • You have previously worked on communications related to AI, deep tech, research or other highly technical fields.
  • You have experience building or growing social media, editorial or community channels.

Responsibilities

  • Craft narratives around technical research and product developments.
  • Develop social media and content strategies.
  • Support the planning and execution of events, talks and roundtables.
  • Assist with media research, press materials, briefing documents and outreach preparation.
  • Translate complex topics such as continual learning and benchmark results into accessible, compelling messaging.
  • Monitor relevant conversations in AI, startups and research to identify communication opportunities.
  • Contribute to the development of Pathway’s brand as a category-defining AI company.
