Brand Experience and Development Manager

SézaneLos Angeles, CA

About The Position

Sézane is seeking a Brand Experience and Development Manager to join their US Team. This role will be instrumental in shaping the brand's presence in the United States and Canada, focusing on both Octobre Éditions and Sézane. The position is based in Los Angeles and requires regular travel. The manager will be responsible for defining how both brands physically and culturally appear in their respective markets, working closely with the Paris team on brand direction while having significant autonomy in local translation. This includes casting, spaces, events, and partnerships. For Octobre Éditions in the US, the role involves owning the full brand experience, including pop-ups, shop-in-shops, events, and the opening of a new flagship boutique. It also includes building and managing influencer and creator relationships, and editorial relationships. For Sézane in Canada, the focus is on building local influencer and creator relationships, identifying pop-up and wholesale opportunities, and providing structure to a market with existing organic traction. The ideal candidate understands that a pop-up is a brand statement, is resourceful, comfortable with ambiguity, and energized by building from scratch. They should also be adept at working with creators in a non-transactional manner and comfortable managing distinct brand identities and markets simultaneously.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in brand experience, experiential marketing, retail development, or influencer marketing - ideally within premium fashion or lifestyle
  • A track record of building and executing physical brand activations
  • Existing network in the US and/or Canadian premium lifestyle and creator space
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple markets and priorities
  • Los Angeles-based
  • Availability for regular travel across the US and Canada
  • You have worked at the intersection of physical retail and brand, and you understand that a pop-up is not a sales event - it's a brand statement
  • You are resourceful to your core, comfortable with ambiguity, and energized by building from scratch
  • You have existing relationships in the US and/or Canadian premium lifestyle space
  • You know how to work with creators without making it feel transactional
  • You are equally at ease across two distinct brand identities - womenswear and menswear - and two markets simultaneously

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual French / English is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Own the full brand experience in the US for Octobre Éditions: pop-ups, shop-in-shops, events, and the opening of our first NY flagship boutique
  • Lead physical activations end-to-end - site selection, execution, press, and community moments
  • Build and manage influencer and creator relationships that introduce Octobre to a new American audience: editorial relationships with the stylists and writers who shape premium menswear taste, a community of mid-size creators in our highest-converting markets, and a structured approach to the organic UGC already appearing without any investment
  • Work closely with the Paris team on brand direction while translating it into something that feels genuinely local - the casting, the spaces, the people, the moments
  • Build local influencer and creator relationships across key markets (Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver) for Sézane - Canada
  • Identify pop-up and wholesale opportunities that reflect Sézane's editorial standard and execute these special projects
  • Give structure and momentum to a market with real organic traction and no dedicated support yet

Benefits

  • Salary range: $100,000 - $130,000 depending on skills and experience.
  • Sézane recruits and values all talents, whatever your gender, age, nationality, culture, religious beliefs or sexual orientation.
