Requirements

  • 2 - 3 years studio experience as a graphic designer taking projects from concept through completion.
  • Brand, communication design background, Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or equivalent experience.
  • Background + understanding of brand/graphic design as well as a basic understanding of industrial design + motion preferred.
  • Strong portfolio of design work showcasing both print and digital projects.
  • Social media-minded curator.
  • Digital + photography interest or experience.
  • Brand design background and style guideline experience, 360 visual identities.
  • Strong typography and layout sensibility.
  • Great sketching (digital and/or hand sketching) skills and idea development techniques to create and communicate concepts -- Illustration skills would be a ++.
  • Foundational photography skills including lighting, composition, and retouching; ability to articulate ideas conceptually.
  • Technically solid, able to illuminate ideas and visualize design stories across a variety of media.
  • Expert at Adobe Creative Suite programs.
  • Works well with others to deliver results; keeps others informed to avoid unnecessary surprises.

Nice To Haves

  • Basic understanding of industrial design + motion preferred.
  • Illustration skills would be a ++.

Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with functional design experts as well as the business to develop brand design strategies across a spectrum of capabilities including product architecture, innovation pipelines, visual identity systems, design guidelines, packaging design, and structural design.
  • Engage with cross-functional teams to drive comprehensive brand and graphic design projects from ideation and strategy to execution.
  • Guide brand design, help craft the brand design strategy, and execute major design projects across the portfolio.
  • Creating high quality brand design solutions in a rapid paced, high-output environment.
  • Present design concepts in a clear and concise manner.
  • Quickly sketch ideas to create and communicate concepts.
  • Participate and contribute in brainstorm sessions.
  • Iterate on designs based on direction and feedback from Brand Design lead(s).
  • Design in alignment to evolving brand needs with emphasis on brand consistency + meet business objectives.
  • Ideate and construct ideas within a team-based design environment.
  • Communicates regularly. Manages own timelines, milestones, and internal deadlines to ensure timely delivery.
