About The Position

CBS Texas is looking for a Brand Content Producer who can go beyond promoting the news to develop content that makes people stop and care. This is not a role for people hoping to recycle TV content; you will be expected to think like a storyteller and understand how our brand fits into every platform. You’ll work alongside newsroom journalists to find the most human part of every story and build content around it. Content is expected to be clear, authentic, and often unscripted. You will be responsible for populating all station platforms with content. Our Brand Content Producer writes, produces, and edits brand-aligned, daily marketing messages and reports to the Promotions Manager who executes daily brand strategy defined by the Director of Multiplatform Marketing. You will be expected to attend and contribute to weekly story meetings, brainstorms, and team huddles; turn newsroom moments into external marketing content; and write, produce, and edit for all screens. As a member of the Marketing team, you will attend station promotions and brand activations at events across the region, some of which happen during weekends.

Requirements

  • At least two years of broadcast or agency experience.
  • Excellent writing skills who understands brand standards.
  • Understands how to communicate clearly to an audience.
  • Can collaborate on client productions alongside talent.
  • A storyteller who understands narrative structures, parts of a story, and visual language.
