About The Position

The Brand and Creative Services Manager leads districtwide creative operations, brand standards, and production workflows supporting communications, marketing, and community engagement, while overseeing team operations, asset development, and quality control to ensure alignment with district goals, accessibility requirements, and a consistent, trusted public presence. The essential functions as shown below represent only the key areas of responsibility; specific position requirements will vary depending on the needs of the district.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, visual communications, digital media, marketing, or related field
  • Five years of progressively responsible experience in graphic design, branding, creative operations, communications, marketing, or related field required, including at least three years of supervisory experience
  • Advanced knowledge of graphic design, branding, visual communications, and creative services management principles.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite including Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, along with knowledge of current digital design and content production tools.
  • Knowledge of ADA-conscious design practices, accessibility standards, and audience-centered communication strategies across print and digital platforms.
  • Ability to lead complex creative projects, manage competing priorities, and coordinate multiple deadlines simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to develop, maintain, and enforce district brand standards, visual identity systems, templates, and communication guidelines.
  • Ability to review and approve communication materials for quality, consistency, accessibility, accuracy, and alignment with district objectives.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Knowledge of communication campaigns, marketing strategies, enrollment initiatives, and public engagement practices.
  • Ability to support district marketing, enrollment, recruitment, public relations, community engagement, and special events through strategic visual communications, brand-aligned creative development, and production of print, digital, and environmental graphics.
  • Ability to manage relationships with vendors, printers, freelancers, and production partners while supporting responsible use of department resources and budgets.
  • Effective written and oral communication and presentation techniques.
  • Ability to exercise sound professional judgment, maintain confidentiality, and foster positive working relationships with students, staff, and the public.
  • Maintain valid driver's license with a driving record that aligns with the district’s motor vehicle record requirement while employed.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of annual creative services priorities and production calendars aligned with district communication, enrollment, and strategic initiatives.
  • Oversee the planning, prioritization, and execution of creative services projects, including project intake, workflow, production schedules, and timelines while coordinating cross-functional efforts to support districtwide communications, marketing, and engagement initiatives.
  • Lead creative planning and coordinate creative services support for district events, ceremonies, campaigns, and community engagement initiatives by managing visual assets, signage, displays, environmental graphics, event branding, and production timelines to ensure consistent, high-quality participant experience.
  • Supervise, evaluate, and support the Creative Services Team to ensure effective performance and training.
  • Serve as a liaison between the Director of Communications, Marketing, and Public Affairs and the Creative Services Team to support effective communication, collaboration, and execution of district priorities.
  • Design and produce print and digital communication materials using ADA-conscious design.
  • Support district marketing, enrollment, recruitment, public relations, and community engagement initiatives through strategic visual communication, brand-aligned creative.
  • Govern the district’s visual identity, brand standards, templates, graphic guidelines, digital asset libraries, and creative resources while ensuring consistency across district communication materials and platforms.
  • Review and approve creative materials prior to publication or distribution to ensure brand consistency, quality standards, accessibility, and alignment with district objectives.
  • Coordinate relationships with external vendors, printers, freelancers, and production partners while supporting efficient use of department resources and project budgets.
  • Monitor emerging trends and best practices in graphic design, branding, digital communications, accessibility, and creative services management.
  • Maintain professional learning and growth through professional organizations, seminars, course work, and collaboration.
