About The Position

The Macallan Brand Ambassador’s role is to engage and build strategic partnerships with top influential groups, consumers and media, by bringing The Macallan “world” to life. They are required to inspire, educate, and recruit these audiences with unique and impactful experiences. As a secondary focus, The Macallan Brand Ambassador supports major brand initiatives, and helps deliver targeted portfolio performance. The role will involve extensive event hosting and travel within the region of location, and to Scotland to liaise with the global brand and distillery teams and host key influencer visits. The Ambassador will be tasked with establishing long term relationships with prestige clients and measured on The Macallan’s CRM tool. The Brand Ambassador is the face of The Macallan brand in Miami and responsible for the education and engagement of consumers, influencer groups, media and internal/external stakeholders, including Edrington commercial teams. They will help to drive an increase in The Macallan’s ‘salience’, as measured by established tracking tools.

Requirements

  • Degree-level education or luxury sector experience
  • Experience with luxury brands and high-net-worth clientele
  • Brand, category and portfolio strategy expertise
  • Strong presentation, communication and negotiation skills
  • Leadership, mentoring and training experience
  • Self-directed with clear ownership and accountability
  • International travel experience
  • Confident, personable and polished presence
  • Strong organisation and prioritisation skills
  • Relationship-builder with strong networking capability
  • Quality-focused with high attention to detail and customer experience
  • Brand Ambassador experience
  • Luxury spirits or premium hospitality background
  • Passion for whisky
  • Experience in leading global bars and hotels
  • Alcohol industry or advanced bartending/service qualifications
  • Brand messaging and positioning knowledge

Responsibilities

  • Act as the in-market authority for The Macallan, delivering premium tastings and distinctive brand experiences
  • Support the planning and delivery of experiential events and consumer engagement initiatives
  • Represent the brand at priority consumer, influencer and media occasions
  • Build and manage high-value networks, including collectors and professional groups, via CRM (HubSpot)
  • Support Direct-to-Consumer and Private Client teams in recruiting high-potential clients
  • Partner with Marketing and Education teams to deliver on-brand activations and communications
  • Collaborate with the Brand Education Manager and contribute to the global education and marketing network
  • Grow a local social media presence in line with brand guidelines
  • Identify and deliver local brand-building opportunities with commercial teams
  • Manage T&E and activation budgets efficiently
  • Ensure CRM best practice and data protection compliance
  • Work with retained agencies to engage key Miami-based media and influencers
