About The Position

Vista Radio Ltd, Canada’s second-largest commercial radio broadcaster, operates over 70 radio stations and digital news portals. Our stations are deeply rooted in their communities, retaining local voices and building strong connections. We are seeking enthusiastic and outgoing individuals to represent our stations, 99.9 Sun FM, 101.5 GO FM, and AM1150, at community events and on-location broadcasts. This is a casual position with flexible hours, primarily on weekends, and requires availability for some weekdays and holidays. The ideal candidate is friendly, energetic, confident, a quick thinker, and excels at communication.

Requirements

• Strong interpersonal skills with a friendly, outgoing, and engaging personality.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while also contributing to a team environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Comfortable interacting with the public and representing the station in a professional manner.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, event-driven environment.
• Basic knowledge of social media platforms and content creation.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving abstract and ability to be insured.
• Ability to lift and transport promotional materials and equipment as required.
• Legally eligible to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Set up and tear down of events, including heavy equipment like tents and technical equipment for on-site broadcasts.
• Represent the station brand in a professional manner and be knowledgeable about the radio station.
• Animate crowds, attract attention, engage, and interact with listeners.
• Run on-site contests and distribute promotional materials.
• Take photos and post on social media.
• Work at indoor and outdoor events in all weather conditions.
• Work weekends and evenings as events require.
• Represent the radio station at various community events.
• Operate the station's branded vehicle during promotional events.
