About The Position

The Arrow Financial Corporation Family of Companies is seeking dynamic, authentic individuals to join our amazing team! Currently, we are looking for an experienced professional to join our Retail Banking team as a Branch Trainer- Assistant Manager (Mohawk Valley Region). This opportunity may be perfect for you if you have experience in Banking & Cash Management, Strong Attention to Detail & Excellent Communication Skills. This role is responsible for providing branch and onboarding support in addition to training new hires. Provide coverage on teller line and platform for absences, vacancies, and vacations throughout the region. Will perform a variety of management duties and oversee daily branch operations in absence of Branch Manager. Assists in communicating policies, procedures, and management reporting in managers absence.

Requirements

  • Associates degree or equivalent experience required
  • 4 years of experience in banking, customer service, or retail sales preferred
  • Ability to obtain NMLS certification and Signature Guarantee certification
  • 1 year supervisory experience preferred
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal; comfortable communicating with customers, co-workers, and management
  • Sales and referral experience; knowledge of banking platforms, products and services offered preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Travel to various branches as needed
  • Work rotating Saturday schedule
  • Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time and walk/stand for brief periods of time.
  • Must be able to repetitively use a telephone and computer mouse and keyboard.
  • Ability to lift/move up to 15 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the new hire onboarding process and monitor to ensure team members are properly onboarded into role including onsite training per Branch Experience guideline and analyzing skills to determine if scheduling additional training is needed.
  • Provide training, support and guidance as appropriate to co-workers and customers.
  • Perform duties of all branch employees and stay up to date on any policy or procedural changes.
  • Provide consistent, outstanding customer service by anticipating and reacting to customer needs.
  • Manage, coach and counsel staff to meet department goals and achieve performance standards; encourage continuous improvement for career development.
  • Support sales efforts of Company; actively participate in Cross-Sell Program and make referrals as appropriate.
  • Solicit new business while maintaining current customer relationships.
  • Oversee and adhere to requirements pertaining to branch security, fraud prevention, and Bank Secrecy Act; identify counterfeit currency and monetary instruments.
  • Provide coverage for vacancies and vacations.
