About The Position

FreeStar Financial Credit Union is seeking an entry-level Branch Service Representative at its St. Clair Shores branch. The role helps advance the credit union’s mission to positively impact members, team members, and the community through meaningful connections and progressive financial solutions. The representative serves as members’ first point of contact, creating a welcoming, professional, and memorable experience while delivering service aligned with the credit union’s core values. The position supports member relationships through account servicing, transactions, problem resolution, product education, branch operations, and sales goals. It also helps members use technology and supports the transition from a traditional teller line to a technology-enabled service model. This is an onsite position.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least one year of experience in the financial industry.
Knowledge of federal regulations and related responsibilities, including the Right to Financial Privacy Act, Regulation E (EFTS), Regulation CC (Funds Availability), Regulation ZZ (Truth in Lending), the Truth in Savings Act, and the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA).
Demonstrated professionalism and strong customer service ability.

Responsibilities

Serve as the first point of contact and create a personalized, welcoming, and solution-oriented experience for members.
Act as a concierge and advisor, helping members use technology and providing hands-on support for complex needs.
Support the transition from a traditional teller line to a technology-enabled service model.
Build relationships that encourage product use, digital engagement, and long-term member loyalty.
Support account servicing, transactions, problem resolution, product education, branch operations, and sales goals.
