About The Position

The Branch Sales Manager will manage an Outside Technical Sales team in the Carolinas, focusing on growing sales and gross margin to meet and exceed annual Branch goals. This role is located in Charlotte, NC and supports North Carolina and South Carolina. The position requires the manager to office out of Concord, NC and supervise 4-12 direct reports, coaching and mentoring them on sales opportunities and personal development. The manager will monitor key performance indicators such as Gross Margin YTD vs. Quota, Focus Product Gross Margin YTD vs. Quota, Funnel Progress, and Sales Activity. Responsibilities include recruiting, hiring, coaching, and retaining top talent, training new employees on Action Selling, and monitoring expenses to stay within budget. The role also involves interacting effectively with other departments, following quality procedures, and operating within the company's mission, values, and vision.

Requirements

  • Degree in Fluid Power Technology, Robotics or Motion Control Technology, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college OR five years of experience in a related field.
  • Ability to monitor key measurements and manage Sales Engineers according to annual sales plans.
  • Proficiency in using TdF’s Manager’s Console to review funnel progression and sales activity.
  • Ability to network with existing talent and build a virtual bench.
  • Ability to clearly articulate Action Selling practices and monitor usage.
  • Ability to assist employees in achieving Action Selling certification within six months of employment.
  • Ability to utilize LCO calculators, Customer Profit Reinforcement (CPR) and white papers.
  • Ability to monitor expenses to stay within budget parameters.
  • Ability to interact effectively with other departments and colleagues.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise 4-12 direct reports, coaching and mentoring them on sales opportunities and personal development.
  • Monitor key measurements including Gross margin YTD vs. Quota, Focus Product Gross Margin YTD vs. Quota, Funnel Progress, and Sales Activity.
  • Recruit, hire, coach, and retain top talent, including networking and building a virtual bench.
  • Train new employees on Action Selling and assist their achievement of certification within six months of employment.
  • Monitor Funnel Wins for spreading throughout other territories, using specialists where applicable.
  • Utilize LCO calculators, Customer Profit Reinforcement (CPR) and white papers.
  • Monitor expenses to stay within budget parameters.
  • Interact effectively with other departments and colleagues within the organization.
  • Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned by supervisor.
  • Follow all quality process and procedures as established by Hartfiel Automation.
