About The Position

California Bank & Trust is seeking a full-time Branch Relationship Banker (Personal Banker) to serve clients at its Wilshire Boulevard branch in Los Angeles, California. The role delivers full-service banking with an emphasis on building client relationships, providing personalized financial solutions, sales, and service. The banker helps bring the branch into the community by organizing events and outreach, supports account opening and consumer lending, and connects clients with appropriate internal partners when needed. The employee may be reassigned to another location within a reasonable distance (30 miles of the branch) based on business needs and with proper notice. The schedule is Monday through Friday. The position offers a base salary of $26–$34 per hour, depending on job-related factors such as experience.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 2 years of experience as a universal banker, personal banker, or in a similar retail banking role; an equivalent combination of education and experience may qualify.
Working knowledge of mathematical calculations and standard banking products, services, and transactions.
Solid knowledge of retail products and services.
Basic knowledge of consumer lending applications.
Proven customer service, interpersonal, and verbal and written communication skills.
Effective selling, cross-selling, and referral skills.
Solid mathematical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
Solid interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
Strong attention to detail and time-management skills.
Proficiency in basic computer skills.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in a financial sales representative-oriented role.
Professional working proficiency in Farsi.

Responsibilities

Deliver an exceptional full-service banking experience to new and existing clients, with an emphasis on relationship-building, sales, and personalized service.
Plan and host branch events and community outreach activities to strengthen local relationships.
Open new accounts and support consumer lending needs; assist clients with financial services and solutions.
Address client concerns directly or connect clients with appropriate internal partners.
Identify client needs and recommend relevant bank products and services, including commercial offerings.
Follow up with clients to build lasting relationships and ensure a consistent, high-quality experience.
Process cash transactions, open and maintain accounts, and originate and close consumer or small-business loans as needed.
Support daily branch operations, including transaction processing and other customer service responsibilities.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Accept reassignment to an alternate location within 30 miles of the branch when business needs require, with proper notice.
