About The Position

This role is responsible for the direct management of Account Team staff, including assigning tasks, managing workflows, monitoring and improving staff performance, scheduling, human resource management, staffing, training, staff development, staff communication and support, process, policy, and procedure compliance, and modeling core values. The position is hybrid, requiring 1 day in the office at one of the specified locations (Aliso Viejo, Glendale, Ontario, San Diego, or Santa Barbara). The focus is on Commercial Lines with an emphasis on the Construction book of business. An active P&C license is required. Individuals residing within a 50-mile radius of a branch location may be required to work onsite in a hybrid capacity. Remote work requires a dedicated, distraction-free workspace and is not a substitute for childcare or other personal responsibilities during working hours.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of industry experience with deep, wide-ranging industry knowledge
  • All required active licensing (active P&C license)
  • Outstanding communication and people management skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • High School Diploma (or equivalent)

Responsibilities

  • Manage Account Management staff, monitor performance, and provide coaching.
  • Ensure compliance with HR processes and policies.
  • Ensure productivity, efficiency, quality, and service standards.
  • Manage staff days off calendars for service continuity.
  • Ensure appropriate staffing levels and recommend adjustments.
  • Participate in interviewing and hiring recommendations.
  • Prepare and deliver performance evaluations.
  • Provide coaching, consultation, and training.
  • Encourage growth and development of personnel.
  • Develop future branch operations leaders.
  • Promote IOA culture and improve engagement.
  • Identify performance gaps and implement corrective actions.
