About The Position

Aging, Disability and Veteran Services (ADVSD) is seeking an experienced individual to serve as a Branch Manager (job profile: Manager 1) within their Long Term Services and Support program. This leadership position involves working with supervisory and direct staff to achieve the ADVSD mission and promote its values. The Branch Manager and their team are responsible for directing the implementation of the LTSS program in a specific geographic area, ensuring adherence to Federal, State, and County rules, policies, and protocols. Key responsibilities include overseeing building, budget, personnel, and quality management, as well as program operations. The Branch Manager also represents the ADVSD Division in interactions with local advocacy groups, partners, and the public. The role requires the highest level of professional ethics, visibility, accessibility, and approachability to staff, providers, clients, and the community. Collaboration with staff and stakeholders is essential for problem-solving and service improvement. The eligible list generated from this recruitment may be used for future assignments of various types (regular, limited duration, temporary, on-call, full or part-time) within the department.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (Equivalent training and practical experience may substitute for the educational requirement)
  • Three (3) years of increasingly responsible and major program experience in the field of human services, including leading and supervising Aging and Disability programs and staff.
  • Must pass a criminal background check

  • Ability to collaborate, build relationships and lead a team to achieve positive work outcomes
  • Experience using a participatory management style to promote teamwork and a "learning" work environment for employees.

Responsibilities

  • Directing the implementation of the LTSS program within a specified geographic area.
