About The Position

The Branch Manager is responsible for overseeing all branch operations to ensure the delivery of high quality member service and the achievement of financial and operational goals. The Branch Manager fosters a positive work environment and develops relationships in the community to drive sales and increase membership. This role will involve managing, coaching, developing, and training all branch staff.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Experience in a financial institution (FI) or related industry
  • Supervisory experience required
  • Thorough understanding of facilitating business account relations in conjunction with other credit union teams
  • Highly effective communicator with good interpersonal skills
  • Strong leadership skills to effectively coach and develop a team
  • Well-organized and effective at time management
  • Skilled at fostering collaboration and a positive work environment
  • Strong computer skills with the ability to learn Microsoft Office products

Responsibilities

  • Coach and develop branch staff to reinforce and ensure consistent behaviors that positively impact sales and service goals. Coaching and development activities include, but are not limited to: conduct regular observations of branch staff to ensure consistency in prescribed behaviors, facilitate one-to-one meetings with branch staff, collaborate with branch staff to create individual development plans
  • Oversee daily operations, ensuring operational goals are met, and responsible for financial results in the branch by: leading team meetings to discuss successes, best practices, and updates to policies, processes, and procedures, determining strategy to grow the business for the branch, cultivating relationships in the community, managing expenses for the branch, ensuring minimum acceptable production (MAP) goals are achieved
  • Support human resources (HR) functions within the branch, including but not limited to: conduct regular performance appraisals, partner with HR when performance improvement plans are needed, enforce personnel policies, approve timecards
  • Drive leadership efforts to further develop and manage all roles within local branch
  • Focus on sales activity and community efforts to enhance production for local branch while maintaining oversight on service and operational standards
