About The Position

Responsible for the overall leadership, performance, and daily operations of the credit union branch. This role ensures exceptional member service, operational compliance, staff development, and growth in loans, deposits, and community engagement. In a smaller-sized credit union facility, the Branch Manager is a working leader who actively participates in frontline operations while driving branch performance.

Requirements

• Three years to five years of similar or related experience.
• A two-year college degree, or completion of a specialized certification or licensing, or completion of specialized training courses conducted by vendors, or job-specific skills acquired through an apprenticeship program.
• Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation.
• Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the day-to-day supervision and leadership of the branch.
• Hires, reviews, schedules, trains, and monitors the work of branch personnel: conducts performance reviews; allocates resources to meet operational needs within the department; reviews and approves, denies, or modifies department recommendations from subordinates.
• Actively participates in initiatives that connect with and benefit the local community, often through collaborations with businesses in the area, by volunteering, attending events, or supporting local causes.
• Monitors branch operating results relative to established objectives and ensures appropriate steps are taken to correct unsatisfactory conditions.
• Participates in loan origination, underwriting and decision support.
• Oversees daily branch operations, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and adherence to all policies and procedures.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
