About The Position

The Branch Manager is responsible for managing the daily operations and customer service levels of the branch personnel. This role involves performing audits related to federal, state, and bank policies, procedures, and regulations, including cash and negotiable audits, and maintaining branch audit books. The manager must adhere to strong internal control procedures and comply with all applicable laws and regulations. They will conduct regular sales and operations meetings, brief employees on sales goals and promotions, and track branch sales goals, including monthly performance reviews with each employee. The position requires evaluating employee performance, providing feedback and coaching, recognizing achievements, and managing budgets and financial objectives. The Branch Manager will interact with customers regularly to ensure satisfaction and resolve problems, perform personnel duties as needed, and maintain high ethical and professional standards. Regular and consistent attendance is an essential function of this position. Requirements

  • Banking experience
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and bank policy, procedure and regulations
  • Management or Loan Officer experience
  • Ability to meet sales goals
  • Leadership skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to communicate well verbally and in writing
  • Must become proficient in opening new accounts, servicing accounts, and working in a teller position
  • Basic computer skills, advanced skills with Microsoft Office
  • Must be able to interact with other offices and departments for accurate resolutions to problems/errors
  • Able to work additional hours when crucial to the branch environment
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or a related field or the equivalent work experience

Responsibilities

  • Performing audits, as it relates to federal, state, and bank policies, procedures and regulations including all cash audits, quarterly negotiable audits and maintaining branch audit books.
  • Adhering and practicing strong internal control procedures at all times while complying with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Managing the daily routine and customer service level of the branch personnel.
  • Conducting regular sales and operations meetings.
  • Briefing employees on current sales goals, promotions, and other relevant information.
  • Obtaining and tracking sales goals for the entire branch, including monthly score card performance reviews with each employee.
  • Evaluating employee performance and providing feedback and coaching as needed.
  • Recognizing employee achievements and encouraging excellence in the work environment.
  • Managing budgets, allocating branch funds, and defining financial objectives.
  • Interacting with customers on a regular basis to ensure satisfaction and gain useful feedback.
  • Resolving customer problems as needed.
  • Performing branch personnel duties as needed.
  • Adhering to high ethical and professional standards.
  • Assisting with other job related duties as requested by supervisor/manager.
