About The Position

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Branch Manager responsible for the overall management and operations of our Broadway branch; including but not limited to the ability to coach, build, and staff a retail team focused on exemplary customer service and professionalism. The Branch Manager is accountable for branch compliance and operations across all aspects of regulatory, operational, security, and audit tasks and procedures, as well as achieving sales and service goals aligned with Rondout Savings Bank’s overall Strategic Plan. This position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of employee growth and development by continuously supporting and motivating the retail team, while serving as a mentor and leader through the display of professionalism, positivity, and the ability to lead by example. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Proficiency in the teller and platform duties of the branch while ensuring branch profitability, risk management, and regulatory compliance is adhered to. Building and maintaining customer relationships, including opening new retail and business accounts, accepting consumer and business loan applications, recognizing cross-selling opportunities, and growing the current book of business while also being able to refer to other areas of the Bank to ensure achievement of the Bank’s strategic growth goals are met. Supporting monthly marketing initiatives using reports and tools available in CRM, while also working with the VP Area Retail Manager / Business Banking Officer to help plan and implement business growth opportunities within the community. Coaching, training, and mentoring of all retail branch personnel to achieve both new and current customer deposit growth goals by identifying cross-selling opportunities and presenting banking solutions to meet and exceed the customer’s needs while also continually training and motivating staff in a positive sales and service culture. Actively participating in out-of-branch prospecting and COI events as well as making existing sales calls to help deepen business relationships. Communicating the needs of the community and changes in local economic environment to the senior management team. Serving as a liaison to the community through participation in leadership roles, serving on a minimum of one Board of Directors and being available to participate in community events either in person or virtually. Serving as a Business Development Officer for the branch by offering cash management and loan products and services to our business customers while also assisting the Commercial Lending Team with account openings on lending clients. Facilitating daily huddles and weekly branch staff meetings focusing on growth & profitability drivers to keep the team engaged and knowledgeable with assistance from the Assistant Branch Manager. Ensuring that the branch maintains a satisfactory rating on all audits, with immediate remedies to any deficiencies with training and accountabilities of staff; ensures adherence to all state & federal regulations as well as bank policy, Bank Secrecy, Gramm-Leach Bliley, US Patriot Act and (CIP) customer identification programs. Promoting the Bank’s image by consistently maintaining a professional, business-like environment, including strict adherence to bank dress code, demonstrating strong leadership qualities, and enhancing the reputation of the bank through exemplary customer service. Reviewing and submitting the staff’s semi-annual and annual performance evaluations. Delivering consistent one-on-one and coaching performance sessions and providing development plans and training geared towards the development of the staff. The Branch Manager must be an example of the Bank’s Core Values, adhere to all banking policies and procedures, and must participate in bank sponsored community activities and perform other incidental and related duties as required and assigned. Requirements

  • Associate’s degree required
  • At least 2 years of branch management experience
  • NYS Notary Public license following 6 months on the job required
  • Ability to obtain NMLS
  • Valid driver's license required
  • 3-5 years of banking experience
  • Minimum 1 year of sales in a financial institution or retail environment
  • Minimum 3 years of supervisory or leadership experience in a financial institution or retail environment required
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Customer service experience
  • Excellent math and cash handling abilities
  • Computer and organizational skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
