About The Position

This role has multiple levels, open to candidates with 1 year to 6 years minimum experience working in a sales, retail management, or banking management environment. The successful candidate will be hired for the level of the position that aligns with their experience. The Branch Manager role is responsible for empowering, building, and inspiring the team by effectively communicating business goals and objectives. They lead with empathy, create an environment where team members and clients feel valued, and set clear performance expectations. This role involves leading through change, adapting leadership styles, and coaching individuals and teams for optimal performance. The manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of team members, including decisions on hiring, compensation, promotion, discipline, and termination. They must adapt to new digital programs, products, services, and technology platforms, teaching digital fluency and financial literacy to both team members and customers. A key responsibility is planning and executing customer market share growth at the branch level, building relationships with partners, and demonstrating mastery in delivering an exceptional customer experience. The role involves establishing and maintaining an effective advisory and service environment, proactively communicating with customers, and applying financial acumen to meet needs. Collaboration with district, regional, and divisional leadership is expected to ensure optimal utilization of human capital, focusing on revenue growth, expense management, and business expansion. Participation in local market/community activities to promote U.S. Bank growth and culture is also a part of the role, encouraging team members to volunteer and engage with the community. Ensuring compliance with all banking laws and regulations, including Anti-Money Laundering and Bank Secrecy Act requirements, is critical. This position requires National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) registration and ongoing compliance with all legal or regulatory requirements, including maintaining a satisfactory criminal and credit record. The role also involves performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience
One to two years of experience working in a sales, retail management, or banking environment (for Branch Manager 2)
Three to four years of experience working in a sales, retail management, or banking environment (for Branch Manager 3)
Four to five years of experience working in a sales, retail management, or banking environment (for Branch Manager 4)
Six or more years of experience working in a sales, retail management, or banking environment (for Branch Manager 5)
National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) registration under the terms of the S.A.F.E. Act of 2008 and Regulation Z and ongoing compliance with all legal or regulatory registration requirements, including, but not limited to maintaining a satisfactory criminal and credit record.
Compliance with the U.S. Bank Code of Ethics and all Anti-Money Laundering, Bank Secrecy Act, information security and suspicious activity reporting requirements, policies and procedures.
Ability to comply with U.S. Bank policies and procedures including the Code of Ethics and Business Conduct and related workplace conduct and safety policies.
