About The Position

Quinn Company, your local Caterpillar dealer, is hiring a Branch Manager in Lancaster, California. In this high-impact leadership role, you will oversee a multi-functional team, manage branch operations, and drive financial performance while ensuring exceptional customer service. You’ll serve as a strategic leader in your territory, championing growth, operational excellence, and the values that define Quinn’s culture. Quinn Company sells, services, and rents a full line of construction, agricultural, and material handling equipment, as well as diesel and natural gas engines. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • College degree or a minimum of 5 years of related industry experience
  • Management or supervisory experience required
  • Minimum 5 years of industry experience
  • Ability to lead teams, manage customer relationships, and drive business performance
  • Strong business acumen and ability to manage P&L performance
  • Excellent human relations skills and the ability to influence and resolve business issues
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Proven leadership skills, including motivation, mentoring, and execution
  • Strong organizational, planning, and sales skills
  • Solid understanding of the product support business

Responsibilities

  • Build Strategic Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal partners and top customers to achieve financial and market share goals.
  • Drive Business Results: Maximize branch performance by leveraging company resources and partnering with external business leaders.
  • Lead & Develop Your Team: Motivate, mentor, and retain a high-performing workforce with strong leadership and clear direction.
  • Manage Financial Performance: Oversee the branch profit and loss statement and business portfolio.
  • Align the Organization: Communicate effectively across departments to ensure strategic and tactical alignment.
  • Engage Customers: Visit customer sites regularly and travel with sales representatives to mentor and support their efforts.
  • Promote Safety: Work safely at all times and uphold all company safety policies and values.
  • Teach and reinforce value-selling principles to employees and customers.
  • Analyze competitive strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats.
  • Identify and lead performance improvement initiatives.
  • Reinforce the company’s strategic plan and values to all employees.
  • Serve as the local company leader for the assigned territory.
  • Identify and mentor high-potential employees for growth and advancement.
  • Oversee facility maintenance and uphold the branch’s professional appearance.
