About The Position

Blaze is seeking an experienced Branch Manager to join our growing financial institution. As an entity that lives and breathes 'We Care' to our members and employees, this is an excellent opportunity for a Leader to make a difference daily. This key position will be responsible for the administration and daily operations of a full service branch based out of Eagan. These functions include member service in accordance with the credit union’s objectives, product sales, lending, and branch compliance. This position is also responsible for the professional development and supervision of assigned staff. The key objective is to retain, motivate, and provide coaching to staff with the intent to develop sales techniques and assist in the achievement of retail sales goals. This position is a leader in the branch, participates in community affairs, and works to enhance the credit union’s visibility.

Requirements

  • Minimum High School degree or equivalent
  • Minimum 4 to 5 years of similar or related experience
  • Knowledge of the financial industry, related products, and trends of the market to ensure the credit union meets its goals and objectives
  • Knowledge of market and competition, business implications of decisions, and aligns work with strategic goals
  • Proficient skills in Microsoft Office
  • Must possess problem solving, project management, and leadership skills
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret journals, financial reports, legal and complex documents
  • Ability to respond positively to change and growth to support Credit Union goals and upper management
  • Ability to develop and implement responses to members/staff to document and develop new and ongoing techniques to improve processes; written communications draw from expert information from the field whether as an individual contributor or manager

Responsibilities

  • Coach and develop branch staff.
  • Act as an example to staff by upholding Blaze’s values, mission, and goals.
  • Communicate daily with Manager to ensure development, performance, and recognition of staff
  • Back up new account and loan application process as needed
  • Research member problems and questions, making any necessary corrections
  • Oversee monthly branch audits
  • Ensure all associates follow dual control and other security policies and procedures
  • Schedule staff, enter time off, and ensure policies/procedures are followed
  • Pursue networking opportunities in the community
  • Be an Ambassador for Blaze through modeling Blaze's core values with employees as well as mentor Branch staff to achieve
  • Perform other duties as assigned
