About The Position

This position is responsible for the overall activities of the branch, focusing on maintaining a profitable yearly budget, achieving an acceptable rate of return on sales after incentive compensation, and ensuring healthy cash flow. The role involves driving sales and building the Satellite brand in the market area, as well as investing time and resources in personnel development. The Branch Manager directs subordinate supervisors and supervises all sales and administrative staff, ensuring a stable and profitable branch through effective leadership and adherence to company policies and objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelors’ Degree and 5+ years of related work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proven leadership and managerial skills.
  • Experience recruiting and developing employees.
  • Experience with accountability for P&L performance.
  • Demonstrated successful personal sales experience.
  • A strong desire to build a successful business.
  • Manage assets in $15-20mm plus range.
  • Manage revenue in the $10mm plus range.
  • Skill in conducting and documenting inquiries, investigations, audits and reviews.
  • Proven financial management abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Delivering and managing the Profits and Loss (P&L) results for the branch.
  • Creating and maintaining the yearly budget in a timely fashion.
  • Meeting or exceeding the pre-tax profit plan.
  • Managing expenses relative to the plan or business level.
  • Meeting or exceeding Net Service Fleet Expense (NSFE).
  • Ensuring market-based pricing for rentals and sales are maintained.
  • Managing assets and new capital dollars in the assigned region to deliver the desired ROI for the branch.
  • Meeting and exceeding utilization, quality standards, and “ready to go” targets.
  • Through the Operations Manager, managing rental fleet cleaning, repair, delivery, service calls, and onsite installation services.
  • Assisting in the development of annual sales forecasts, expense plans, and capital budgets.
  • Monitoring competition and enforcing effective business strategies.
  • Building the Satellite brand in the market area.
  • Meeting or exceeding sales and rental targets.
  • Directing, training, and managing all branch Sales Representatives.
  • Developing and executing sales and marketing plans.
  • Monitoring projects and programs after implementation and recommending corrective action.
  • Hiring, coaching, training, and developing sales, operations, and administrative staff.
  • Ensuring personnel have all tools required to perform their jobs satisfactorily, including approved plans and a detailed budget.
  • Personally inspecting jobs to assess progress and the game plan personnel are employing.
  • Leading branch employees in implementing strategies to achieve success.
  • Ensuring all branch personnel perform their job duties in a safe manner and take reasonable precautions to avoid work-related accidents, with the assistance of the Operations Manager.
  • Monitoring the hiring of personnel to ensure individuals who follow safe working practices and commit to safety procedures are employed.
  • Ensuring employees have the knowledge and training to follow all company policies and procedures.
  • Ensuring all employees understand the mission, overall company objectives, and their individual departmental objectives.
  • Ensuring each department continuously reinforces respectful communication and resolves conflicting objectives.
  • Monitoring the gains sharing program.
