About The Position

Wells Fargo is hiring an experienced, people-focused leader for a Branch Manager career within its National Branch Network. The Branch Manager serves as the branch’s sales leader, accountable for acquiring, deepening, and retaining customer relationships and driving growth across primary checking, deposits, lending, credit cards, and investments. The role leads and develops a team, builds an accountable and engaged culture, and balances business growth with sound operational risk management. New leaders participate in the Branch Manager Readiness Program, which provides guidance, mentorship, job shadowing, and practical experience in branch operations. Successful completion is required before transitioning into a Branch Manager position. Branch placement depends on business needs and availability. During training, the position is an interim, nonexempt role. Current Wells Fargo Branch Managers are not required to complete the program. The role requires a schedule that includes Saturdays and may require travel within the assigned geography up to 50% of the time during the first six months, before or until placement in a specific branch. SAFE registration is required at employment; Wells Fargo initiates the process after the start date. The position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. The posted base pay range is $37.50–$67.31; employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.

Requirements

At least 5 years of banking, financial services, or Branch Network experience, or equivalent experience demonstrated through work, training, military experience, or education.
At least 2 years of leadership experience.
Ability to work a schedule that includes Saturdays.
Ability to travel within the assigned geography up to 50% of the time during the first six months, depending on location and branch placement.
SAFE registration is required at the time of employment; Wells Fargo will initiate the process after the start date.
Loan Originators must meet LO/CFPB requirements and Wells Fargo policies, including standards related to financial responsibility, character, fitness, and criminal background. A credit report may be reviewed, excluding credit score, and additional ongoing screening may apply.

Responsibilities

Provide inclusive leadership, set clear expectations, and coach and manage performance to deliver sales, service, and operational excellence.
Lead the branch team in identifying customer financial needs and delivering tailored consumer and business solutions.
Use branch manager routines, observation, feedback, and follow-up to build employee capability, confidence, and productivity, while holding the team accountable for expected behaviors and outcomes.
Partner with Wealth & Investment Management, Business Banking, and Home Lending colleagues to coordinate customer experiences and deepen relationships.
Educate customers about available digital banking options and demonstrate how to use them.
Use reporting and employee observations to identify team strengths and opportunities, then take action to improve performance and expand primary bank relationships and wallet share.
Balance growth, operational soundness, and talent decisions; manage risk, resolve issues, and model behaviors that protect customers, employees, and the company.
Execute applicable risk and compliance programs, follow relevant policies and procedures, and escalate and remediate issues appropriately.
