About The Position

The Branch Manager is ultimately responsible for the success of the branch, including the achievement of branch growth and profit goals. They oversee staff development and ensure that customer service standards are being met. They lead the sales function for the branch, setting the example and the tone for a strong sales environment.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for new business growth goals in deposits, loans and wealth management.
  • Call on existing customers and prospects, cultivate new business and develop prospecting strategies and product promotions.
  • Leadership role in making referrals to other lines of business (i.e., commercial, mortgage, wealth management).
  • Responsible for attaining Bank established goals and executing bank-wide marketing initiative
  • Community involvement consistent with the bank’s core values to increase the bank’s visibility and enhance new and existing business opportunities.
  • Represent bank in community activities through local service organizations, associations, etc.
  • Accept/process/approve loan applications, and/or refer loan request to appropriate individuals to ensure prompt response to customer inquires and requests.
  • Follow up with customer or lending officer as needed.
  • Ensure retail staff assigned to branch knows the bank’s products and services and policies and regulations.
  • Promote sales and service through coaching, development and ongoing training of branch staff
  • Provides leadership, supervision and mentoring of branch staff
  • Coach staff in customer service standards, cross-selling opportunities, referrals, and procedures.
  • Complete annual performance reviews.
  • Motivate branch team to accomplish goals and achieve results in both sales and customer service.
  • Oversee the timely completion of branch audits, reports and inspections.
  • Ensure branch receives cleans audits and that policies/procedures are being followed.
  • Follow required federal and state regulations and related internal policies and procedures.
  • Open accounts and perform account maintenance and perform the duties of a personal banker as needed.
  • Work effectively with branch staff and other bank departments, establish and maintain cooperative working relationships.
  • Ensures that branch is running efficiently and that controllable expenses are kept at a minimum.
  • Oversee monthly branch meetings
  • Attend meetings and trainings and participates in committees as directed.
  • Oversee the timely completion of required annual training courses of all staff.
  • Additional Duties as requested.
