The Branch Manager directs the operations of a medium-sized Credit Union facility (usually 1 to 4 people), ensuring the branch meets organizational financial, operational, service, and growth plans. The Branch Manager has limited lending authority and is responsible for coaching all staff in sales performance to achieve corporate goals. This role involves business development activities, including visiting businesses to build relationships and attract new members, and planning/attending events which may require lifting supplies. The manager must attend in-person sales/service training at the Corporate Training Office in Tampa. Responsibilities include monitoring branch operating results, controlling past due and charged-off accounts, underwriting consumer loans up to the assigned limit, and ensuring compliance with credit union policies and procedures. A key duty is the accurate completion and approval of Currency Transaction Reports (CTRs) for transactions over $10,000, including aggregating multiple transactions by the same person in a day. The manager must also report suspicious activity to the compliance officer for potential Suspicious Activity Report (SAR) generation. Additionally, the role involves directing, developing, coaching, motivating, hiring, and disciplining branch personnel, administering performance evaluations, and reinforcing a sales and service culture through cross-selling credit union products and services. All employees are trained on and must adhere to BSA/CIP/OFAC regulations and internal policies. Other related duties may be assigned.
