About The Position

We’re looking for a hands-on Branch Manager to lead daily operations, drive sales growth, and deliver outstanding service at one of our Phoenix Welding Supply locations. Requirements

  • Strong problem-solving skills within your delegated authority, with the ability to identify issues, interpret data, and recommend practical solutions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal staff, customers, and third-party partners.
  • Flexibility to work outside regular office hours when necessary.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business/trade journals, technical procedures, and relevant regulations.
  • Strong commitment to compliance with company policies, procedures, and applicable federal and state regulations.
  • Proven experience monitoring and documenting employee performance, including coaching, training, counseling, and issuing disciplinary actions when appropriate.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage goals, delegate work, track progress, and deliver timely performance feedback and evaluations.
  • Continuous improvement mindset with experience leading process improvement and automation initiatives.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (or similar software).
  • Ability to meet the physical requirements of the role.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience managing both local and multi-location/national operations is preferred.
  • Supervisory experience in a customer-facing, operationally focused environment is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all day-to-day branch operations, ensuring a clean, organized, and secure store environment.
  • Own customer relationship management: assist customers in person, by phone, and via email; provide product recommendations and troubleshooting support.
  • Coordinate and perform store sales activities, including merchandising, inventory management, and adherence to established pricing programs.
  • Oversee accurate completion of all daily financial transactions and ensure cash drawers are balanced.
  • Conduct hard goods inventory cycles and physical counts; partner with the Purchasing Manager to manage stock levels, reduce dead inventory, and ensure proper ordering.
  • Prepare customer orders and coordinate with Plant employees for gas and equipment needs to support timely pick-up.
  • Set clear goals for the team, delegate responsibilities, monitor progress, and provide ongoing feedback, coaching, and performance evaluations.
  • Participate in safety, compliance, customer service, and product knowledge training to stay up to date and model best practices for your team.
  • Collaborate with management on store policies and procedures, and lead process improvements to enhance efficiency and profitability.
  • Be available after hours and on weekends as needed to handle emergencies and support operational continuity.
