About The Position

The Branch Courier is responsible for the safe and timely transport of interoffice mail, incoming/outgoing US mail, documents, and supplies between Credit Union branches and facilities. This role supports daily operations by ensuring efficient mail handling, delivery accuracy, and reliable communication between locations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
  • Ability to drive safely in varying weather and traffic conditions
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity
  • Dependable, punctual, and self-motivated
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lift and carry packages up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to complete tasks that involve frequent standing, walking, and driving
  • Self discipline and focus required to complete repetitive tasks

Responsibilities

  • Serve Texas Tech CU members, employees, and guests pleasantly and professionally in accordance with Texas Tech CU core values of Trust, Respect, Excellence, Kindness, and Stewardship.
  • Sort incoming and outgoing mail and interoffice correspondence
  • Deliver mail, documents, and packages between branches according to established schedules
  • Support the Consumer Lending Department through the delivery and pickup of official documents at the Tax Assessor’s Office, the Lubbock County Courthouse, and other local offices as needed
  • Pick up mail and items from branch locations
  • Transport office supplies, materials, and other items as needed between branch locations
  • Ensure proper handling, security, and confidentiality of all documents and materials
  • Maintain delivery logs and records as needed to ensure accuracy and accountability
  • Follow established routes while adapting to operational needs as required
  • Conduct basic vehicle checks and report maintenance issues in a timely manner
  • Provide professional and courteous service when interacting with staff at all branch locations
  • Serve as a back up to the reception desk at the Operations Office as needed
  • Support the Consumer Banking Director with other duties as assigned
