About The Position

The Branch Banking Client Consultant I delivers front-line client service and transactional support by welcoming clients, identifying their needs, and performing teller functions and financial transactions accurately, efficiently, and in a friendly manner. The role supports clients’ financial goals and branch success by maintaining operational accuracy and risk standards, supporting sales performance through client introductions and education, and collaborating with branch teammates. The position aims to create a positive, trusted branch experience in which clients feel supported, informed, and connected to relevant financial solutions while their everyday banking needs are handled efficiently. It also supports branch growth and service goals through teller transaction execution, client engagement, timely problem resolution, and compliance with bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

High school diploma, high school equivalency (GED, HiSET, or TASC), or foreign equivalent.
1–2 years of experience in customer service, cash handling, or retail.
Strong relationship-building and communication skills, including proactive collaboration and the ability to use cross-functional insights.
Ability to identify client needs and deliver tailored solutions.
Ability to manage priorities, solve problems, and build rapport with clients and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Support team efforts to achieve growth targets for financial performance and primary client acquisition.
Make appropriate client introductions to team members to support growth targets and sales initiatives.
Assist clients with account questions, problems, and complaints; research and communicate resolutions in a timely and effective manner.
Deliver client engagement and education, and meet behavioral activity goals set by Retail Leadership, including introductions.
Perform daily financial transactions accurately and promptly while striving to avoid controllable, preventable losses.
Understand and adhere to applicable bank policies and regulations.
Perform special projects and additional duties and responsibilities as required.
Adhere to regulatory and compliance policies and standards, complete required compliance training, and maintain compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
