About The Position

Responsible for moving material to maintain process flow. This role requires adherence to Environmental, Health, and Safety standards, moving materials in and out of the department, placing materials at stations, and stacking material neatly in inventory. Key tasks include loading steel into Un-coilers, emptying scrap hoppers, removing and storing wrapped skids, replacing shrink wrap rolls, and placing labels on wrapped skids. Other job duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to read and write
• Good communication skills
• Must be able to work independently and also work well with others
• Must be able to sit continuously for 8-12 hours
• Must be able to continuously move on and off the forklift
• Specific vision abilities are required including close, distance, peripheral vision and depth perception
• Must be able to lift 20 pounds repetitively
• Ability to lift 50 pounds occasionally
• Ability to twist, bend and lift repetitively
• Good hand/eye coordination and good motor skills
• Ability to work outdoors for an extended period in extreme weather conditions
• Demonstrates dependability and adherence to all safety rules and regulations
• Ear and Eye protection always required in all production areas
• Steel toe boots with metatarsal guards always required

• Forklift operation experience helpful
