About The Position

The Brake Press Operator will primarily be involved with the setup and operation of a CNC brake press for metal fabrication. This role requires knowledge and hands-on operation and setup of CNC brake presses to manufacture specific Graepel parts. The operator will analyze work orders, parts, and blueprints, and check parts throughout the production run using company-supplied measuring equipment to monitor quality and repeatability. A strong understanding of metal fabrication processes and concepts is essential, along with the ability to set up machinery to produce "0 defect" parts. Accurate completion of work orders, including correct quantities of good and defective parts, is also a key responsibility. The role involves working a regular schedule determined by supervisory management and performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements

High School Degree or equivalent and/or related experience required.
Ability to use Direct read measuring devices required.
Ability to read blue prints and understand functionality of parts and their components.
Ability to operate a forklift and obtain certification.
Ability to work in a team environment and/or independently.
Vision (Near, Distance, Color, Peripheral, Depth Perception)
Sense of Sounds (Communication with personnel, ability to listen to machinery to make adjustments)
Sense of Touch (Use of hands to carry and move material)
Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (Ear protection, steel toed boots, etc)

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in manufacturing engineering, fabrication management and/or operations of low and mid-sized volume metal fabrication preferred.

Responsibilities
