About The Position

NIC Global is hiring a Brake Operator to operate a press brake and CNC machine control for simple, routine setups on the weekend shift. The position includes loading and unloading tools, operating machine controls, performing routine machine maintenance and secondary production operations, and verifying product quality with measurement instruments. Weekend shift hours are Sunday, Friday, and Saturday, 5:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.; a weekend shift premium is added to base pay. Overtime may be required. The role involves standing for a 10-hour shift with breaks and lifting up to 50 pounds, with or without accommodations.

NIC Global is a single-source manufacturer that provides mechanical and electromechanical assembly, sheet metal fabrication, and global sourcing of metal and plastic components. The company employs more than 600 people across Washington, Tennessee, Ohio, and Texas. Employment offers are contingent on passing a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Requirements

• High school-level education or equivalent, plus specialized training obtained through vocational courses or on the job.
• Basic math knowledge.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Basic understanding of computers.
• Willingness to work overtime.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds, with or without accommodations.
• Ability to stand for a 10-hour shift with breaks.
• Pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Operate a press brake and CNC machine control for simple, routine setups.
• Load and unload tools.
• Operate machine controls.
• Perform routine machine maintenance.
• Perform secondary operations during production.
• Verify quality using measurement instruments such as calipers and protractors.
• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as required by business needs.
