About The Position

The Boys Soccer Coach will assist the Head Coach in carrying out the aims and objectives of the soccer program. This role involves instructing athletes in individual and team fundamentals, strategy, and physical training to achieve success. The coach is responsible for preparing for and conducting sports events and practices, ensuring adherence to facility schedules, and maintaining equipment and sites. Additionally, the coach will provide necessary documentation to the Athletic Director, communicate with parents regarding player status, and direct student managers and statisticians. Discipline and due process procedures will also be determined and enforced.

Requirements

  • Has knowledge and background in the assigned sport.
  • Has taken a course/workshop or has proof of competency in first aid.
  • Has a certificate or completion of a class in CPR.

  • Previous coaching experience in assigned sports
  • Experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assist the head coach in scheduling and providing transportation to tournaments and special events.
  • Prepare for and hold scheduled sports events or practices, adhering to scheduled facilities.
  • Provide documentation to the Athletic Director for state and system requirements (physical examinations, parental consent, eligibility).
  • Ensure proper safeguards for the maintenance and protection of assigned equipment and sites.
  • Communicate training rules and sport-specific regulations to athletes.
  • Be present at all practices, games, and while traveling to provide assistance, guidance, and safeguards for participants.
  • Direct student managers and statisticians.
  • Determine discipline and delineate procedures concerning due process when enforcement is necessary.
  • Contact parents when a student is dropped or becomes ineligible.
