About The Position
This is a supplemental position for a Head Coach for Boys & Girls Swimming at Fort Lauderdale High School. The role requires a strong understanding of the sport and the ability to effectively teach and guide participants. The position is temporary and non-exempt, with compensation based on the New Hire Teacher Salary Schedule and Classroom Monitor Hourly Rate.
Requirements
- Standard high school diploma or satisfactory completion of any General Education Development (GED) Testing Program.
- Must hold a valid Florida Educator Certificate (as mandated by Florida State Statute for high school coaches).
- Knowledge of the sport and the ability to impart this knowledge.
- Computer skills as required for the position.
Nice To Haves
- Applicants who do not hold a valid Florida Educator Certificate will be required to obtain an Athletic Coaching Certificate from the Florida Department of Education.
