About The Position

The Middle School Boys Basketball Coach will work with and under the Head Boys Basketball Coach and Activities Director to provide leadership and instruction to the Albany Huskies Boys Basketball program. The coach must follow the philosophy and rules of Albany Area Schools, the Albany Huskies Athletics Program, and the Minnesota State High School League. The role involves building relationships and working successfully with student athletes, assistant coaches, parents, the community, the Activities Director, school administration, and other programs and coaches in the District.

Scheduled hours are Monday through Friday, 3:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Games are scheduled as needed. The season runs from mid-November through mid-March, with practice and game times scheduled throughout the season. Weekend and evening competitions are expected. Off-season duties and expectations also apply.

Requirements

• Applicants must meet Minnesota State High School League coaching and concussion requirements.
• Coaching experience is preferred but not required.
