This position is responsible for coaching student athletes in game strategies and techniques to prepare them for athletic competition. The role requires adherence to the NFHS Coaches Code of Ethics, modeling non-discriminatory practices, and assuming complete responsibility for the conduct and philosophy of the team. The coach will be available for contests and practices, supervise equipment, establish positive relationships, and attend necessary meetings. Responsibilities include conducting organizational meetings, preparing schedules, managing athlete injuries, submitting rosters, reporting scores, and supervising team members after practices/games. The coach must also complete end-of-season reports and comply with all relevant policies and procedures. Decision-making authority is granted for team-specific matters, with broader issues to be discussed with the Athletic Director. The coach will assess player skills, model sports-like behavior, and participate in special events. Additional duties include attending staff development and performing other assigned tasks.
