About The Position

Responsible for the daily operation of equipment to transport product, and operation of other material handling equipment as needed. This role involves driving company-owned trucks for shipping, receiving, delivery, pickup, and relocation of products, as well as for shred pickups. The position also requires providing outstanding customer service, operating material handling equipment, and maintaining all required certifications and safety programs. The driver is responsible for maintaining entrusted property, performing routine equipment inspections and maintenance, and adhering to safety and security standards. Additionally, the role includes loading and unloading trucks, overseeing and training trainees, and ensuring quality control and shipping deadlines are met. The position also involves documentation of quality and contract jobs, compliance with CARF standards, and maintaining safety regulations. The driver will also prepare purchase requests and promote teamwork. This role requires a commitment to innovation, continuous learning, and representing the organization professionally.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Has and maintains an acceptable driving record.
  • Possess a valid chauffeur's license.
  • Be able to drive from location to location.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Computer literate.
  • Be able to be licensed to operate a forklift.
  • Able to operate manual lifts.

Nice To Haves

  • Industrial experience is preferred.
  • Experience working with persons with disabilities is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Drive company-owned trucks to facilitate shipping and receiving operations.
  • Drive company-owned trucks for the delivery, pickup, and relocation of products.
  • Drive company-owned trucks for shred pickups using designated shred bins.
  • Provide outstanding customer service during delivery and pickup operations.
  • Operate all material handling equipment.
  • Maintain all required certifications required by DOT and OSHA and company safety programs.
  • Maintain and protect all property entrusted to you in proper condition.
  • Perform routine inspection and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment and refer defects or repairs to supervisor; clean equipment.
  • Perform all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and security standards.
  • Loads and unloads trucks.
  • Oversees and trains assigned trainees.
  • Works one-on-one with trainees on interpersonal skills, production, work quality, and other skills chosen by the consumers to help them obtain and maintain community employment.
  • Ensures that quality control and shipping deadlines are met.
  • Initiates and completes documentation of quality and contract jobs as required.
  • Ensure documentation and compliance with CARF standards.
  • Maintain applicable safety standards, rules, and regulations in areas of responsibility.
  • Have S.M.A.R.T objectives to drive performance and improve Goodwill's value to the community.
  • Work with integrity and provide exemplary customer services to internal and external stakeholders.
