About The Position

Gordon Food Service Store LLC is hiring a part-time Box Truck Delivery Driver for its Gordon Restaurant Market in Thornton, Colorado. The driver presents a positive image to customers through courteous, on-time, and accurate deliveries of Gordon Food Service products and serves as a liaison between GFS management and customers. The role requires safe work habits, working knowledge of a box truck or refrigerated van, and the ability to deal effectively with customers and the public. Monday through Friday afternoon availability is needed. Pay is $22.41–$31 per hour, based on experience. The posting is available through 11/30/26. The role includes deliveries, customer service, payment collection, paperwork, vehicle inspections and maintenance, and other store or driver-related duties. Employees must meet the physical demands of the job, including lifting, pushing, and pulling products and operating a two-wheeled hand truck with a load weighing up to 350 pounds. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
One year of previous driving experience.
One year of experience in customer service or a related field.
Must have or be able to obtain a DOT physical before the start date.
Valid, unrestricted driver's license.
No drug or alcohol offenses in the last three years.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Ability to adhere to safety and compliance regulations and procedures.
Maintain a professional appearance while wearing the GFS uniform.
Punctuality, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail.
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Ability to work independently and function in a team environment.
Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English.
Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including lifting, pushing, and pulling products.
Ability to operate a two-wheeled hand truck with a load weighing up to 350 pounds.
Ability to operate an on-board computer and handheld scanner.
Basic knowledge of computer operations.
Working knowledge of a box truck or refrigerated van.
Ability to deal effectively with customers and the public.

Responsibilities

Ensure safe, accurate, timely, and efficient delivery of GFS products.
Build and maintain good customer relationships.
Accurately collect customer payments.
Safeguard company funds and follow GFS banking policies.
Perform all Sales Service functions by the 90th day of employment.
Perform proper equipment maintenance, monitor reefer temperature, and report mechanical issues and damage in a timely manner.
Complete daily check-ins in a timely manner without errors.
Manage paperwork, including register, credits, and pick-ups.
Perform daily pre- and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment.
Perform other duties as assigned, either in the store or related to driving.
