Box Shop Lead
About The Position
The Box Shop Lead will be responsible for ensuring that machines are loaded with the correct program for the day and that the correct type and program of boxes are coming to backpack-off. They will direct the daily activities of and work directly with production team members in the box shop and backpack-off of the Fabrication department. Box shop Leads are expected to be the primary example of appropriate behavior, attitude, and respect for others using a continuous improvement mentality and will work to perpetuate a “Creekstone proud” culture through attitude and actions.
Requirements
- Basic math skills.
- Ability to handle multiple projects while not losing track of priorities.
- Ability to present ideas, concepts, issues, concerns, and questions in a well thought out, positive, and professional manner.
- Clear communication skills – verbally and in written form.
- Ability to work productively and independently.
- Ability to take direction humbly and collaborate to define and pursue team goals.

Responsibilities
- Maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
- Training new team members in the area.
- Delegating tasks to team members and following up on those tasks.
- Reducing packaging cost and labor cost.
- Driving strategies for budget and labor cost savings, and efficiency in the area.
- Receiving commands/requests over two-way radios and other communication devices.
- Ensuring all team members follow all safety procedures.
- Maintaining a safe and accident-free environment by adhering to safety standards and identifying safety issues and reporting them to the supervisor or safety manager.
- Ensuring that all supplies are kept up to their minimum stock amounts.
- Controlling all documentation required in the box shop accurately and in an organized manner.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
