About The Position
This position is responsible for assembling and supplying boxes used in the packaging process while maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient work environment. The Box Maker supports production operations by ensuring a steady flow of properly constructed boxes to the production lines.
Requirements
- Willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Responsibilities
- Assemble corrugated boxes and lids manually or by assisting box machine operations to support production needs
- Retrieve box materials (flats, lids, and supplies) from designated storage areas and transport to workstation
- Ensure proper box size, quality, and assembly to meet product specifications
- Maintain continuous flow of boxes to production lines to avoid downtime
- Monitor box machine or conveyor systems for proper operation and report issues to supervision or maintenance
- Perform rework, stacking, and palletizing of finished boxes as needed
- Maintain cleanliness of work area by disposing of waste and following sanitation guidelines
- Follow all safety policies, including proper PPE usage and safe equipment handling
- Comply with Tyson policies, food safety standards, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
