About The Position

This position is responsible for labeling boxes and operating the case erectors located on the box maker mezzanine. The work environment is inside a facility that can be noisy, have wet floors, and may involve cold temperatures (at or below 50 degrees Fahrenheit). There are adequate lighting and ventilation, and sanitizing solutions are used. The role involves potential hazards from moving objects, mechanical, and electrical sources. Days per week and hours per day will vary.

Requirements

• 3 months of food industry production experience in the last 2 years (can be a combination of employers as long as experience is 3 months within 2 years)
• Former Tyson Foods team members have a 180-day (6-month) waiting period.
• Maximum of two previous Tyson employments to be considered for hire.
• Willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
• Strong understanding of food safety
• Strong understanding of operational process
• Strong math skills
• Strong communication skills

Responsibilities

• Labeling boxes
• Operating case erectors
• Utilizing a PC to print box labels
• Labeling box flats for production
• Configuring case erector machines for production runs
• Loading and clearing the case erector of jams
• Working as directed by supervisor
